The town of Lake Providence is the parish seat of East Carroll Parish, Louisiana and is located in the heart of the Louisiana delta in the northeast corner of the state. Known for the beautiful oxbow lake on the north end of town, Lake Providence is the oldest town in Louisiana north of Natchitoches. Lake Providence celebrates the Soul Food and Heritage Festival each June, and is also proud to be the home town of Charles and Sam Wyly – the well-known billionaire entrepreneurial brothers.
