Located in Franklin Parish, the city of Winnsboro serves as a hub for surrounding communities and is easily accessible from areas such as Richland, Caldwell, Tensas and Catahoula parishes. Winnsboro is known as a family-friendly community that offers dozens of opportunities for outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and boating – as well as organized group sports including softball, baseball and soccer. In addition, the city’s Princess Theatre hosts many excellent community theater productions and has been cited as one of the best small town theater operations in Louisiana. Winnsboro is also proud to be the home of the annual Catfish Festival – the largest one-day festival in the state that draws thousands of visitors from throughout the region each spring.
