Bastrop, LA – Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC) is inviting the community to its Summer Safety event on Friday, July 11, at the LDCC Simulation Center in Bastrop, located at 729 Colliers Lane. This free, family-focused event will provide essential safety training to help residents prepare for emergencies and protect their loved ones.
Sessions begin with check-in at 8:00 AM, and classes will officially start at 9:00 AM. Training will include car seat safety checks, stop-the-bleed techniques, CPR, first aid, and additional topics. Participants will learn practical, hands-on skills from qualified professionals in a healthcare environment designed to provide realistic, practical learning experiences.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for families, caregivers, and community members to gain the knowledge and confidence they need to act quickly in emergencies,” said Bastrop Campus Director Antonio Hearn. “Whether you’re a parent wanting to ensure your child’s car seat is properly installed or someone who wants to learn how to save a life with CPR, this event has something for everyone.”
The event is free to attend, and registration is open now. Interested participants can register by visiting ladelta.edu.
