RUSTON, LA - The Practical Nursing class of Fall 2025 from Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC) in Ruston achieved a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX Next Gen exam. All graduates are now officially licensed to practice as practical nurses.
Both Ruston PN Coordinator Jana Carson, RN, and PN Instructor Deborah Madere have been with the cohort for the duration of the program, working diligently with each student to complete the program and move on to rewarding careers. "We did it! I couldn't be prouder of our PN graduates,” says Carson. “They exceeded all expectations, and it has been an immensely rewarding experience to help launch their careers.”
From the classroom to clinicals, the LDCC practical nursing program achieved its primary goal: to equip students with industry-based training that helps graduates easily enter the workforce. Madere stated, “They are currently all employed which helps the workforce in our community. We thank our industry partners for this accomplishment.”
Not only did students express their gratitude for the attentiveness of their instructors, but also for the quality of the curriculum and learning experience. LPN Graduate Jessie Woolsey states “Handwork, plus great instructors, equals a 100% pass rate.”
Applications for LDCC’s LPN program are currently open for the Lake Providence Summer 2026 cohort and the West Monroe Fall 2026 cohort. Additional details about eligibility requirements and the application process are available at ladelta.edu.
