WINNSBORO, LA – Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC) is proud to announce the successful completion of its first Data Center Technician training program, sponsored by IES Communications. The inaugural class concluded on March 12, with all 11 graduates receiving job offers from IES Communications to work at the Richland Parish Data Center.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in preparing a skilled workforce to support one of the largest economic development projects in Northeast Louisiana. The program was designed in partnership with industry leaders to provide hands-on training and direct pathways to employment in high-demand technical careers.
“We are incredibly proud of these students and the commitment they showed throughout the program,” said Chancellor Dr. Justin Hoggard. “This initiative demonstrates the power of partnership between education and industry to create real opportunities for our communities. Every student in this first class not only completed the program but secured employment, which is exactly the outcome we strive for.”
The program continues to gain momentum, with a new class already underway at LDCC’s Winnsboro campus. Due to strong demand and continued partnership with IES Communications, an additional class is scheduled to begin on April 27.
The Data Center Technician program is part of LDCC’s broader workforce development efforts to meet the growing needs of the region, particularly as large-scale projects like the Richland Parish Data Center continue to expand. Through accelerated, hands-on training, students are equipped with the skills needed to enter the workforce quickly and succeed in high-paying, in-demand careers.
