MONROE, LA — Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC), in partnership with the Arts Council of Northeast Louisiana, successfully opened its spring exhibition, Delta: A Season of Transformation, on April 7, 2026, at the LDCC Monroe Library. The exhibition features original, wall-hung works by artists from across Northeast Louisiana and celebrates creativity, transformation, and regional artistry. Inspired by the idea of “delta” as both a place and a symbol of change, the collection explores themes of growth and becoming.
Earlier this year, LDCC and the Arts Council of Northeast Louisiana issued a call for artists, inviting regional creators to reflect on the concept of transformation through their work. The resulting exhibition brings together a diverse and compelling collection of pieces, highlighting the vibrant artistic talent found throughout the Northeast Region.
To mark the opening, LDCC hosted two receptions on April 7 at the Monroe Library, located at 7500 Millhaven Road. A student lunch reception, sponsored by the LDCC Student Government Association, welcomed students during the day, offering an opportunity to engage with the artwork and experience the exhibit firsthand. That evening, a community reception sponsored by the LDCC Foundation brought together community members, artists, faculty, and staff for a celebration of the exhibition and the creative voices it represents.
By partnering with the Arts Council of Northeast Louisiana to present Delta: A Season of Transformation, LDCC continues to reinforce the library’s role as a gathering place where creativity, learning, and community intersect. The exhibition not only shows the work of regional artists but also strengthens the connection between the college and the broader Northeast Louisiana community while enriching the cultural experience of LDCC students.
