Construction Craft Laborer (Partnered with DPR Construction and Turner Construction)
Course Description: This accelerated 5-week training program prepares students for entry-level employment in the construction industry by combining the NCCER Core Curriculum with Construction Craft Laborer Level 1 training. Participants will first complete the NCCER Core — a required prerequisite for all craft-level NCCER certifications — then transition into foundational modules from the Construction Craft Laborer Level 1 program. This program also includes OSHA 10, AHA Basic Life Saving, and NSC Lift Truck training. Students will develop skills in safety, tools, materials handling, construction drawings, and basic concrete work. Students will have the opportunity to visit (Week 5) the Richland Parish Data Center construction site, participate in job shadowing, and observe construction work as it happens in real time.
