Contact Tracer

Course Description: The Contact Tracer program has been developed to address the standards in infection disease management by frontline sanitation workers.  Instructor information has been gained through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and various other healthcare industry resources. Contact Tracer students receive a survey of HIPPA, communication, organization structure, infectious disease and prevention, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and OSHA standards.  At the end of the course, students should be equipped to handle current and future health crises within a broad context.  The course will be offered online or by hybrid learning model, with preliminary classwork and instruction provided through virtual and recorded lectures, on-line modules, and in-person testing, discussion and lab (hand-on) time.  This course has been engineered to augment the experience of someone who has been in a health, safety, or infection prevention job but will also provide instruction for someone who is seeking entry-level employment as well.
