Pre-requisite YCOS 1100 NCCER Core
Course Description: An entry-level instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment including utility tractors, earth-moving equipment and grades. This introductory course includes equipment safety, identification of equipment needed for the job, basic maintenance and operational skills and an introduction in digging ditching, sloping, stripping, grading, backfilling, clearing, and excavating.
NCCER Heavy Equipment Level 1 credential is earned upon successful completion.

Funding is available for Heavy Equipment Level 1 through WIOA
Students may be eligible to receiving funding through WDB81 or WDB83.
