Course Description: A nine-week introductory course in the study of American Sign Language (ASL) and Pidgin Sign English (PSE) and an understanding of some of the basic cultural differences in the Deaf Community. The emphasis will be on basic signing skills including the language syntax structure vocabulary usage in PSE / ASL.  Textbook to be purchased by the student, not included in the cost of registration for the course. Book needed for class: Talking With Your Hands, Listening With Your Eyes by Gabriel Grayson / Published by Square One Publishing / Copyright 2003. Paperback book / Electronic Version can be purchased at Amazon and major bookstores
