Graduation & Commencement 2021
Celebrating your achievements!

A student should meet on a regular basis with their academic advisor to ensure that progress is being made toward the completion of a degree. The academic advisor holds initial responsibility to determine the application of transferable course work to a degree program.
All candidates for graduation must report to the academic advisor during the period specified in the Academic Calendar if they anticipate graduating at the end of the upcoming term to verify that they have satisfied all graduation requirements and must complete a degree audit and graduation application.
NOTE: DEGREES ARE AWARDED IN THE SAME TERM THEY ARE COMPLETED. If you are set to complete your degree in the current term you are attending, make sure you are applying to graduate in the current term. LDCC graduates students every official term (summer, fall, and spring) every year. LDCC holds one commencement (graduation) ceremony per year at the end of the spring term. Attendance to commencement ceremony is encouraged for all students who have graduated during the current academic year.
Log into your LoLA account. Under Academic Links click on Academic Profile, then click on Apply for Graduation.
Graduate application submission deadline is Monday, April 19, 2021.
Exciting plans are currently underway to mark your graduation day! Due to the COVID-19 occupancy limitations, we are making adjustments to our traditional commencement ceremony. Our foremost priority is your safety and the safety of all our guests.
This year’s Commencement celebration will include a virtual and in-person component to be held on Friday, May 14, 2021. The traditional ceremony will stream online virtually. All students will have the opportunity to participate in an in-person ceremony where they cross the stage and receive their diploma from the Chancellor.
Our ceremony will be held in our Advanced Technology Center, located at our Monroe Campus (7500 Millhaven Road, Monroe, LA 71201)
Continue to monitor your email regularly for additional details, including time and what to expect, at your upcoming Commencement 2021. Thank you for your patience as we work together to ensure that your graduation day is safe and memorable!

It is the graduating student's responsibility to verify, prior to the graduation ceremony, that no outstanding debt to the College exists. Students with outstanding debt will not be able to receive an official transcript nor will their diploma be released until your debt has been cleared. All graduates who have met their degree requirements are expected to participate in the commencement activities as a condition of earning their respective degree/diploma/certificate.
